What Were You Doing When You Felt Most Passionate and Alive?

Doing hard things makes life purposeful and meaningful.

I’m officially a NY Marathon finisher. Grateful for the pain my legs and body feel this morning as a reminder of the efforts of a great accomplishment. What a fun and challenging experience. The energy from the NY crowd of supporters was second to none. The experience of running with others helped build genuine friendships.

We need to learn to show up afraid and move toward discomfort and do hard things to truly experience living.

Are you truly proud of the person that you are?

I choose to walk out my values rather than following the crowd. Comparison is useless – it’s me against me. My job is to show up raw and real and live my best life. I am proud of how I started the race, ran the race and finished the race.

As long as there is breath in me, I will keep living an intentional life, pushing myself to have fun and doing hard things.

What do you want to be remembered for at the end of your life?
